Unlike most tea companies we don’t use any ground up tea (like dust) or artificial stuff. For us it’s all about whole leaf tea and keeping it natural.

You can find us in places like museums, hotels, coffee shops and cafes, visitor attractions and bars all over the UK.

If you fancy saying hello then bob us an email.

Welcome to our site.

Some Nice Stuff About Our Brews

Folks often wonder what on earth all the fuss is about, what actually is “whole leaf tea”. Is it spiel? Or is there some substance there?? Well here’s a little Tea 101…

You Gotta Roll With It

Tea leaves come in a couple of forms, squashed, mangled and shredded (known in the trade as CTC), or nicely rolled (known as orthodox).

Because they are gently rolled, orthodox leaves keep much more of the stuff that makes tea both tasty and healthy. As you can imagine crushing and tearing a leaf doesn’t do much for the taste! Plus it means you can disguise rubbish tea since it all looks the same in the end. Rolled tea not so, it all looks quite different so you can spot an imposter a fifty paces.

Now I’m sure you can see where this is going so here it is: “at Brew we only ever use crushed, mangled and shredded tea leaves” - er…hang on, that’s wrong. Of course we absolutely only ever use orthodox, or rolled, tea leaves.

This means that that whenever you drink one of our brews you can be sure it’s super tasty and also really healthy, simply because we do less to it meaning you get more out of it!

We're Recruiting a "Maddie"

Well, strictly speaking you don’t have to be called Maddie, but you do have to be nice because you’re taking Maddie’s job! Don’t worry though, Maddie is relocating so sadly she has to leave us, it’s not a case of “Oi! Get out of here!”.

You need to be nice because you’ll be finding and contacting lots of new cusTEAmers, from really big museums and hotels through to little niche cafés and so on, essentially looking to spread the word of our whole leaf tea.

Experience in “spreading the word”, whether it’s tea or any other product, would be brilliant but certainly isn’t totally necessary.

A love of tea, particularly really good whole leaf tea, is pretty critical. Of course we’ll teach you a thing or two, so just enjoying an amazing cuppa is a good start.

Email us at hello@brewteabar.co.uk with a nice covering note and tell us one place you think that should serve our brews, and why.

"

A nice busy start for us for 2012, launching our whole leaf teas in a few new areas with Couture Catering and also Inglenook Farm.

Inglenook Farm is the new name for The Lavender Farm in Rainford. They’ve got a lovely new cafe and farm shop and of course some top drawer whole leaf brews. For more information check them out on www.inglenook-farm.co.uk.

Couture Catering run the cafes in some of the UKs top attractions. Including Pinewood Film Studios, Elstree Studios, Ogilvy Corporate Offices, Nottingham Contemporary Arts Centre, Manchester Museum, The People’s History Museum, The Institut Francais and Liverpool’s Anglican Cathedral. If you want more on these guys then check them out on www.trulydifferent.com.

Yes, the little cuddly lamb banana might have been in our store...

Yes, the little cuddly lamb banana might have been in our store drinking our lovely tea, but we love it because it’s so CUTE!!

Apologies if you see this twice, it would appear that our original post disappeared. I guarantee that the previous blurb underneath this wonderful picture was funnier, but it’s nearly 11 and it’s that time of day when breakfast is a distant memory and lunch is an age away… Tea & Alcohol: it works, but only if you know both your teas and your boozes. We know our teas, not so much the boozes so it’s back to the drawing board to figure out where our floral teas and smoky teas belong in the alcoholic spectrum. We’ll keep you updated!

Thanks to the Liverpool Echo for this video… :)

Thanks to the Liverpool Echo for this video… :)

SporTEA Spice?

Phil and Mel put together a selection of blends, one of which will soon be on the shelves in Brew for you to buy! Proceeds from the drinks and packets sold will be going towards NWCRF.

A big thank you to Melanie for giving her time to get involved - we had fun!

A Seriously Ugly Post

Brew recently acquired a new auTEAmobile, honestly though, it’s seriously UGLY! Shortly it’s going to be getting some nice Brew stuff plastered all over it, but until then it has to live a shamed UGLY life.

To help our little Cube feel better then we’re going to show it some pictures of stuff that is way uglier than it, that’s where you come in.

Please send your UGLY pictures to hello@brewteabar.co.uk and help make our Cube feel better, make us fall off our chair with laughter and we’ll send you a free drinks voucher too - brill!

Brew To Go - Liverpool Food & Drink Festival

Sunday 12th September saw the unveiling of Brew To Go!! Our tea chest contained stall which fits on the back of our new bike! Big thanks to Jim Marsden for knocking this together! Still painting at 11pm on Saturday would you believe??

Anyway, it was great to see loads of Brew regulars down there, so thank you all for keeping us entertained! You may have spotted Phil breezing around in our tea leaf costume too, don’t be concerned though, he chose to do it!

Lot’s of good work up front from Aideen who delivered Scouser’s Breakfasts and Green Tea Banana SmooTEAs with consumate ease (plus the occasional stress!)…

Check out our photos and this lovely review too from Feeling Listless: http://bit.ly/cwhGpr…

On Thursday 9th we official launched our ChariTEA partnership with The North West Cancer Research Fund (NWCRF)!! Woohoo! We’ll be working with the NWCRF to support their cause and raise awareness over the coming months…

So, what better way to start than to have some faces you’ll be familiar with come into Brew and blend their very own CelebriTEAs!! We will be working with Kirsty Doyle (Fashion Designer), Leah Hackett (The Closet & Hollyoaks) and Andrew & Liz Collinge (Hair Stylists), with more in the pipeline…

The ChariTEA range will be available in store from November to drink in or buy packets to take home. Brew will be donating a percentage of our revenue from every ChariTEA item sold, forever!!
